I’m a big fan of working QRP (5 watts power output or less). Working SSB with only 5 watts can be a bit challenging but that is what makes QRP so fun, isn’t it?
So far I have had a Yaesu FT-817 but I hope that in a couple of days I will also have a Xiegu X5105. As an antenna, I like to use a dipole when I go out in a nearby park to play with my radio, but I also have a magnetic loop antenna that is easy to set up and which gives a surprisingly good result in terms of number of stations run with only five watts.
I will soon publish some pictures I have from when I run CQ WPX SSB, for example.
